Dr. Ruthie Parsley
Dr. Parsley is a Bay Area native who grew up in Berkeley and earned her doctorate from University of California at Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012.
She returned to the Bay following graduation to work as a general practitioner and be near family.
Dr. Parsley’s special interests include preventative health care and owner education, small fuzzy patients, and geriatric palliative care.
She has been involved in the East Bay community by working with or volunteering for Fix Our Ferals, Spay Neuter Impact Program, and HopAlong and Second Chance Animal Rescue, and is now pleased to work with the Hayward Animal Shelter through Eden Pet Hospital.
Dr. Parsley shares her home with her wife Dana, their two rescue dogs Monty and Loma, rescue kitten Otter and her tripod brother Penguin, and their 5 pet chickens Betty, Pat, Marilyn Monroe, Oyster, and Pearl. In her time off she enjoys reading novels, gardening, and exploring the coasts of Northern California.
